I take Valerian Root for Restless Legs Syndrome (which they are now calling Willis Ekbom Disease), because it really does help. Have there been any studies on it, and is there any information on what is a reasonable dosage? The problem I see with herbals is that some of them may well be effective at a certain dose, but with no studies (too expensive!), we have no way of knowing!

As self ownership is a natural rights, I reserve the right to use whatever vitamins/minerals/drugs/etc. I choose for my own health benefits. Thankfully, some of my choices are difficult for the us government overseers to limit. I take 3500 mg/day of potassium (9000 mg potassium citrate). Regulatory limit, 99 mg/pill, RDA (minimum) 4700 mg/day, paleo diet 10,500 to 15,700 mg/day average depending on research, food grade potassium chloride for water softeners, 50 LBS.
